This cute craft can be found at www.savvymom.ca. Unfortunately, the link for the instructions does not work. I think it is pretty straightforward how to do this craft. Paint your child's feet, one at a time, with non-toxic paint. Quickly, before the paint has time to dry, place painted right  foot on left side for left butterfly wing and place painted left  foot on right side for right butterfly wing. After the paint has dried, paint the butterfly body and antennas with black paint. I would then cover everything with polyurethane after it has thoroughly dried to protect it from outside elements.

You don't have to limit this to a flower pot. Fourteen years ago I did a similar craft at MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers). I put #4's footprints on paper, made it look like a butterfly also, added some words, and put it in a picture frame to hang on the wall. It is packed away in a box too hard to reach or I would put it on here to show you the results. Get creative and have fun!
