The Christian Mama's Guide To The Grade School Years by Erin MacPherson

6/03/2013

Erin MacPherson covers a lot of information in this book. She bases what she writes on "The Fifteen Factors". These factors are characteristics that her mother, an experienced school Principal, has found in children who thrive academically, socially, and spiritually. These characteristics are things such as Genuine faith, Wise decision making, and Work ethic.

Reading The Christian Mama's Guide To The Grade School Years is like sitting and talking with a friend. Erin MacPherson tells about her and her children's failings and overcomings in an entertaining way.

My favorite aspect of this book is that it's from a Christ-centered perspective. Erin MacPherson explains that children following Christ on their own is more important than any success achieved at school. My youngest child is almost done with grade school but I enjoyed reading this book. The Fifteen Factors are not just for children starting school, they can be applied to anyone who wants to follow God, which begins with a faith that is personal and real. The Christian Mama's Guide To The Grade School Years will inspire you to have a Genuine faith, whether it's for the first time or to grow it even stronger.
