My husband likes strawberry shortcake but he doesn't like the biscuits that are typically used to make them so I created this recipe for him.You won't notice the cream cheese but you'll like the moist texture.

Strawberry Shortcake Biscuit
2 cups flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup sugar
4 ounces cream cheese, cubed
2 tablespoons margarine, cubed
1 cup milk

Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Mix flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar together in a mixing bowl. Add cream cheese and margarine, combine until just mixed together. Stir in milk until a soft dough forms. Drop by spoonfuls onto baking sheet. Bake 12 to 14 minutes or until top is golden. Let cool. Cut biscuit in half and top with strawberries and whipped topping .
