9 lasagna noodles
3 cups instant mashed potatoes
1/3 (about 10 ounces) package Velveeta-type cheese, cubed
1 stick margarine
1/2 onion, chopped

Cook lasagna noodles according to package directions. Make instant mashed potatoes according to package directions. While potatoes are hot add Velveeta-type cheese and stir. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. In a greased 9 x 13 inch casserole dish place three lasagna noodles side by side. Spread 1/2 of potato mixture evenly over lasagna  noodles. Add another layer of lasagna noodles. Spread remaining 1/2 of potato mixture over lasagna noodles. Top with remaining lasagna noodles. Saute onions in the margarine. Drizzle onion/margarine mixture evenly over top layer. Bake for about 25 minutes or until heated through. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
