Courting Cate by Leslie Gould

Cate Miller was 23 years years old and still unmarried. She pushed away any guy that showed interest because of prickly personality or fear that they were only after her family's money. Cate's father, Bob, wanted her married and made a rule that she must marry before her younger sister Betsy could.

Pete Treger came to town looking for a job with Bob Miller. Pete seemed to take an true interest in Cate. Pete and Cate's relationship took a surprising turn that had Cate's world turned upside down. She learned that things aren't always as they appear. Cate also found something that was missing from her life -  a trust and faith in God to help her daily.

Leslie Gould did a good job of keeping this story unpredictable. It's told in the first person, a writing style I usually don't care to read. But I enjoyed this book. Courting Cate is the first book in the Courtships Of Lancaster County Series. I look forward to reading the rest of the series. I was provided a complimentary review copy of this book. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own. I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR, Part 255.
